Why don閳ユ獩 people have thick fur or hair all over like animals do?

As far as anyone can tell it is to allow us to cool ourselves more efficiently. Humans are one of the very few animals to sweat continuously for cooling. A dense coat of hair interferes with this cooling ability by trapping water against the skin and preventing it evaporating or running off.

It is not coincidental that humans are capable of running down just about any animal on Earth in warm weather. Humans function better at high temperatures than just about any other animal on the planet. The only animals that equals humans for performance running in hot conditions is the Arabian camel, and it too has a fairly sparse coat.

We have clothes instead. You don't ever see a cat wearing clothes now do you?

We evolved out of it. Don't need it anymore.

Not all animals have fur and hair all over, such as reptiles. Even within Mammals there are several that are not completely covered in fur/hair. Such as the Naked Mole Rat.
