I have thick wavy frizzy hair. wht product works the best?

I use the Matrix Biolage line:

Smoothth鑼卹apie Smoothing Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner

Hydrath鑼卹apie Hydra-Seal Leave-in Cr鑼卪e

or for budget, you can try pantene's ice shine.

I have thick wavy frizzy hair. wht product works the best?

polmade by paul mitchell in a salon

I have thick wavy frizzy hair. wht product works the best?

You and I share the same problem! The Kerastase brand works the best! It is a little pricy but well worth the extra few bucks! "Dry Rebellious Hair" works the best!

I have thick wavy frizzy hair. wht product works the best?

Paul Mitchell or Nexus

Hands down I'm a stylist

I have thick wavy frizzy hair. wht product works the best?

www.naturallycurly.com

www.curlmart.com

curl keeper

mixed chicks leave-in

and im going to try miss jessies curl meringue (so expensive but u get like 15 ounces)

I have thick wavy frizzy hair. wht product works the best?

what are you looking for? keeping it clean, or changing it?

I have thick wavy frizzy hair. wht product works the best?

you can try miss jessies. they have products for curly wavy hair. however, what works on one person may not work on another person. go the trial and error route.

I have thick wavy frizzy hair. wht product works the best?

"Samy" has this product kinda of a gel kinda thing. I think it is just called curl enhancer or something like that, but I have crazy, poofy, huge, frizzy, you name it hair ans that works really well for me. But just keep in mind every ones hair is different.

I have thick wavy frizzy hair. wht product works the best?

I have the same problem. I use garner fructis.

I have thick wavy frizzy hair. wht product works the best?

I have loose/medium thick curly hair. and i am always on the lookout for products that make my hair shiny and keep it under control. This is my routine:

1.Shampoo and Condition (I leave in about 10% of the conditioner to weigh my hair down a bit)

2. comb out my hair with a wide tooth comb and mix together a quarter size amount of charles worthington moisture seal hair healer leave-in conditioner and paul mitchell's super skinny serum

3. spread a tiny drop of smooth n'shine curl polish throughout the bottom half of my hair (makes roots greasy)

4. Scrunch a small amount of Victoria's Secret So Sexy Curl Enhancing Gel (which I actually recently bought for 5 bucks because of the major sale going on right now) throughout hair.

I hope this helps! I know it seems like a long process and lots of products but it really works for me so i thought i'd share :D

after this process, my hair is shiny and my curls are nicely defined!

I have thick wavy frizzy hair. wht product works the best?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

THICK stick-straight hair-brunette-little past shoulders-heart shaped face-how should I cut my hair?

Looking for something new - it's just grown out and lame right now! would like to draw attention to eyes and eyebrows- what do y'all think?

THICK stick-straight hair-brunette-little past shoulders-heart shaped face-how should I cut my hair?

I have the same kind of hair in blonde. Try a cut that is angled and layered and cut at your shoulders. That is how I got my hair cut, It looks GREAT! It is a very nice cut that you can style easily for formal occasions or casual.

THICK stick-straight hair-brunette-little past shoulders-heart shaped face-how should I cut my hair?

i have the exact same problem what i did to solve it was i got bangs that go right below my eye and swoop to the side plus i have layered hair that is at my shoulders i think it would fit you perfect!

THICK stick-straight hair-brunette-little past shoulders-heart shaped face-how should I cut my hair?

You would look great with angles and straight bangs (as opposed to to side bangs). You can even try layers if your willing to give that ago. Good luck!

THICK stick-straight hair-brunette-little past shoulders-heart shaped face-how should I cut my hair?

Go to www.bosshairstyles.com and you'll see great hairstyles!

THICK stick-straight hair-brunette-little past shoulders-heart shaped face-how should I cut my hair?

Curls and waves introduced around level with the cheekbones will widen the appearance of the chin and jawbone and make the face appear better proportioned and essentially oval. Avoid sleek, jaw-length bobs that hug the chin, though - flicked-out ends will create a more balanced outline. A fringe is a hot and stylish option.

THICK stick-straight hair-brunette-little past shoulders-heart shaped face-how should I cut my hair?

Well it sounds like we have the same face features except i have really thick CURLY hair. I am going to cut my hair in a couple of weeks, and I am going to get lots of long layers and my bangs are going to start from my mid-forehead and side-swept. I might get a face-frame also. I hope you like this idea.

P.S. Since you have straight hair you might want to get a perm, but I am not sure what the word for it is but it is waves not curls. Waves are coming in style now, not straight hair. Good Luck!

Look at bob 3 and 4 and angel bob... You can wear this bob at different lengths ... the bangs really draw attention to your eyes and eyebrows.

The great thing about this do is that it grows out well and is good shortish or long.

THICK stick-straight hair-brunette-little past shoulders-heart shaped face-how should I cut my hair?

heart shaped faces are cute these days. just dont style with parting your hair in the middle of ur head. thats real dorky. try combing it back or add some layers. just dont have the layers real high. tell the hair cutter u want them from length to shoulders/neck.

Why does thick skin lack hair follicles and sebaceous glands?

Because it does. Why would it be beneficial for hair to grow or oil to be excreted on the hands or soles of the feet? It wouldn't be. Our bodies are fine tuned machines, hair or oil in those places would make it more difficult for our bodies to function. The stratum coneum is .4mm thicker in thick skin than in thin skin.

What can i do with ULTRA THICK,ExTRA POOOFY, curly hair!?

Invest in a smoothnig cream, and run it through your hair, it should get rid of some poof. You can buy them for really cheap, like less than five bucks.

What can i do with ULTRA THICK,ExTRA POOOFY, curly hair!?

what is wrong with having poofy hair?I wouldn't do a thing poofy hair will be a popular trend for hair this year.

What can i do with ULTRA THICK,ExTRA POOOFY, curly hair!?

I have really frizzy (poofy) hair too. I use an anti-frizz serum made by Pantene. It seems to work well and isn't too expensive (around $5 or $6). There are some shampoos too that help with frizz. A while back I used to use Infusium shampoo and leave-in conditioner. That works too. You can also use some mousse. Oh and what ever you do don't brush it when it's dry! Good luck.

What can i do with ULTRA THICK,ExTRA POOOFY, curly hair!?

Get a CHI straightner and straighten it becuz it REALLY het STRAIGHT!

What can i do with ULTRA THICK,ExTRA POOOFY, curly hair!?

I know how you feel, corioliss- the best straigtener in the world! Only takes 60 seconds to heat up, keeps your hair straight for 2 days, unless wetted. And it makes your hair straight, healthy, and shiny. hundred dollars, i bought it, and it's all worth it, it calms your hair down INSANLEY!!!!! It does work, but i dont know where you can get it, i got my at the mall and it was a one time thing only, but if you look it up on the internet, and there will be some results, probably!

you can use gel and then blow dry it.

Very very thick, dry, straight hair.?

any suggestions? when i cut it shorter, it looks like i have a lions' mane!

Very very thick, dry, straight hair.?

Here is a home remedy regimen for dry hair:

Use mayonnaise: Use a dollop of mayonnaise on the palm of the hand and massage it to the head and leave it on for five minutes before having the bath. The recommended time for the mayonnaise treatment is an hour.

Spray the beer: If you do not get any relief from using the mayonnaise, you can use beer as a good setting lotion that gives your hair the crisp, healthy and shiny look. You can pour some beer into an empty pump bottle and spray on the hair after shampooing and towel dry. Then you can style or blow-dry the hair.

Shampoo minimally: choose a shampoo for dry, damaged hair.

Condition your hair: Conditioner glues cuticles back to the shaft and lubricates them. It also prevents static electricity, thus preventing its frizzy appearance.

Cut off the split ends: Every six weeks or so

Very very thick, dry, straight hair.?

get a hair straghtener .

Very very thick, dry, straight hair.?

Get it layered and thinned, the layers will make it look less thick

Very very thick, dry, straight hair.?

wash it and straight it.

Very very thick, dry, straight hair.?

my friends a hairdresser,my hair does the same...she says when its long because its thick its weighted down so may be straight but when you cut from it it takes away a lot of the weight and so goes "POOF!"...I cant do a thing with mine...hair bobbles have become an evryday fing now!!!

Very very thick, dry, straight hair.?

Mm...try using some conditioner after washing your hair, you can have hair mask once in a month or cream bath to soften it...

If you want to cut it short, you might want to consider hair ironing, it can straighten your hair and if your hair is straight, it can reduce the volume and it wont look like lion!

Good luck!

Very very thick, dry, straight hair.?

I had the same problem except my hair is wavy but then i started deep conditioning it once a week with mayonaise. Also the following shampoo and conditioners work really well,

1. Sunsilk Hydra TLC

2. Garnier Fructis Smootth and Sleek

3. Sunsilk anti-poof

Also dont blow dry it!

Very very thick, dry, straight hair.?

well, ifur hair is that thick, then gettin it cut shorter might make it look thicker...get layers..since its that thick it will make it not look as thick...%26amp; get a deep/leave in conditioner...that way it will make ur hair not as dry...%26amp; heres 2 sites that show u how 2 make natural shampoo, gel,conditioner,hairspray...etc...

i have hair like that....and to make it straight u basically have to straighten it...but u can make it less frizzy and bring out your natural curls w/ some anti freeze cream it works really well for me

What should u do if you have very thick wavy frizzy hair %26amp; want it 2 b straight %26amp; sleek w/o straightening it?

ok dont listen to orca cause is you use those products ur hair would be very dry ......... you could try a relaxer but im not to sure if it would help but that what my mom said shes does hair for a living but im not to sure i would have to see your hair

What should u do if you have very thick wavy frizzy hair %26amp; want it 2 b straight %26amp; sleek w/o straightening it?

First get a thermal, straightning and protecting hair lotion for when you hair is wet. Part your hair in sections and then dry them with a boar bristle. after, you can do the same thing, but put in a thermal protecting spray, and if you want to, you can straighten it. After all the steps are finished, put a finishing product in it.

I have got thick and bushy hair likre hermione in harry potter!!!!!!!!!what should i do?????????

please help me !!!!!!!!we can also become friends!!!!!!!!1

I have got thick and bushy hair likre hermione in harry potter!!!!!!!!!what should i do?????????

I would try some anti frizz shampoo and conditioner, like John Frieda Frizz-Ease, and then blow dry it straight. Get a good salon professional hairdryer with a good slim concentrator nozzle and blow it down. You can also leave it to dry naturally after using frizz ease and it will help your natural curls to be defined and sleek. I'd give the serum a go aswell. Hope I helped :)

I have thick, curly/wavy hair, whenever I try to wear it down it puffs out how do I keep it from puf

Lol, you have the exact same problem as me! What I do is when I am conditioning my hair in the shower I use a paddle brush to comb out all the knots while the conditioner is still in my hair. The results give you nice sleek curls instead of the "poof". If you want to use product after your shower you can but this method will make your hair 10x's better. Hope I helped hun and good luck!

I have thick, curly/wavy hair, whenever I try to wear it down it puffs out how do I keep it from puffing out?

Try regular body cream lotion. I have puffy hair and I notice that the lotion keeps my hair from frizzing, even when I blow dry and curl it.

I have thick, curly/wavy hair, whenever I try to wear it down it puffs out how do I keep it from puffing out?

Matrix makes a line called Sleek. It is especially made for stopping the puffing out. Big and Sexy makes Straight Aero. When your hair is dry, you spray that on your hair and it works instantly. If you get nothing else get that.I am a hairdresser.

I have thick, curly/wavy hair, whenever I try to wear it down it puffs out how do I keep it from puffing out?

i had the same problem- switch to sunsilk anti-poof or even anti friz thats wat i use becuase i usta have a firzzy poof, and if thats not enough use the suave glaze gel but first place it on wet palms adn then in your hair so it doesnt get all wierd, or after you get out of the shower tie ur hair back.

hope that helps

I have thick, curly/wavy hair, whenever I try to wear it down it puffs out how do I keep it from puffing out?

Before you go to the extreme of a salon chemical relaxer (which is an option but should be your last) try using some products like a frizz smoothing serum, and also, if you're wearing it in a straight style use a straightening balm. Most importantly use a flat iron, and a good quality one too! (The best one I've found is called the Chi, it runs about $100 but it makes your hair shiny, silky, and very straight!)

I have thick, curly/wavy hair, whenever I try to wear it down it puffs out how do I keep it from puffing out?

Well, curly hair is going to puff - that's just it's nature. But depending on your haircut it will either puff in all the right or wrong places. It must be layered. All one length gives it the triangle effect (flat on top, poofy on the bottom) Layers balance it out. Where to layer it depends a lot on the length of your hair and how you want it to lay. If you're used to wearing your hair up, then it's going to take a while to get you used to having all that hair around your face. Give it a chance. Don't fuss with it too much after wetting it and use some sort of defrizzer (ie: mousse, gel, serum, etc.) Let it dry all the way naturally or use a defuser on your hair dryer. Good luck!

I have thick, curly/wavy hair, whenever I try to wear it down it puffs out how do I keep it from puffing out?

If ur really truly sick of the 'poofiness' you can always straighten it!

I have thick, curly/wavy hair, whenever I try to wear it down it puffs out how do I keep it from puffing out?

FIRST I'LL START W/ THE "SCIENCE" OF CURLY HAIR.....

C curly hair is "resistant" hair..because the cuticle of the hair is closed tightly.

Nothing can penetrate it! That is y when your hair is wet it's probably looks perfect because the "weight" of the water is holding everything down....

You need products that r heavy...like the body cream stuff that the other person mentioned above.

The Frizz -Eezz stuff is pretty good, try their "wind-down" creme.

*Gel product to tame curls is not heavy enough u r wasting your money. Silicone liquids is okay, but i dont think thats what u r looking for .

Look for products that are thick, creamy %26amp; heavy that will keep the hair from puffing!!

Also the secret to non-puff is NOT to brush your hair at all!! Use your finger tips only!! Many black people wrap our heads up in a silk "DOO-RAG" at night. .. your hair will be really nice %26amp; smooth in the morning.

So your action plan:

-Use shampoos that r creamy NEVER clear or gel type shampoos again ,toss them...that's causing the frizz...the best shampoo is something called CREME OF NATURE BY REVLON it is in the black haircare aisle...

-buy the "DOO-RAG" ask for it by name! that is also in the black hair care aisle. It's those rags u c guys wearing on their heads...

-wash your hair, towel dry by squeezing %26amp; pressing down towards the floor, dont fluff dry up ...

-comb/brush hair smooth, wrap "doo-rag" round your head. for extra smoothness wrap your shampoo towel around over the rag so people won't c it.

-go to sleep, okay if your hair is long to leave hanging out of the rag. the towel helps to smooth the ends too....

-in the morning your hair will b so smooth w/ nice waves...the shampoo already has lots of conditioners in it and smells nice...i even squeeze a little "poo" on the ends if they r still frizzy..and i go!

~the secret is the shampoo-find it %26amp; buy it. Also did u know really large hair curlers straighten the hair too?!! like the size of barrels..that will smooth your hair too!!

Thank me now, or thank me later...u choose!!

Luv,

Shay

Wat shd i do to get thick and long hair?

First of all, to get long hair, you just have to take time and patience and let it grow. Work with it while it's growing so it doesn't get out of control. Second, stop using those heavy conditioners...use a light conditioner that won't weight your hair down and it will bring out the natural thickness of it. God gave us the hair we have, we do the best with what we have been given. Good Luck.

Wat shd i do to get thick and long hair?

you can buy special shampoos at your salon, they are great

Wat shd i do to get thick and long hair?

Wat shd i do to get thick and long hair?

Wat shd i do to get thick and long hair?

After you鈥檝e found your shampoo, you can put on a 鈥渞oot lifter鈥?that will be an

instant success as it lifts your hair from the scalp and begins to give you that volume you

desire. A root lifter is usually not heavy but does the job you want. I personally, like to

place a good heavy gel on my ladies and then blow dry if she is wanting a smooth,

straight, thick look. When it is almost dry I spray on a volumizer and continue to blow

dry. The benefits are amazing. When you have decided to purchase a volumizer for your

hair be sure and read carefully what it does. There should be instructions. The volumizer

spray definitely chubs up your hair. There are also lotions that advertise to 鈥渇atten up鈥?br> your hair. Begin to try each one until you find something that works for your hair. Using

all the different products becomes a personal preference and a trial and error method.

What would work for your friend doesn鈥檛 necessarily mean it would work for you. Every

head of hair is different regardless of the thin or thickness.

Most women know the trick of spraying your hair with a good spray while having your

head upside down. If big fat hair is what your after, this will do the trick. Old fashioned

rolling your hair and a good brushing afterwards with some back combing will also

produce the big look with lots of gentle curls. Rolling your hair is much more healthier

than blow drying and will not promote split ends and your style will last so much longer.

You have volume while the cuticle is protected. As for trends, rolling is in,

blow drying is out. Healthy hair is everything.

I have the exact same problem. Its platinum blonde, thick and wavy. And natural. I wash my hair, and blowdry is on cold on a really low level, and comb it the entire time, if you do it right, it should take awhile, it ill come out straight, and hten i get my inch a half CERAMIC curling iron, and curl little sections at a time, and hold it there for about 15-20 seconds.

then.. BEDHEAD hairspray! or if thats not in your budget, or too hard to find, try pantene ice shine

My Hair is super Thick! How do I get my hair in cute curls that will last?

Put it up wet in rollers the night before and let it dry overnight. Thermal curls (like hot rollers or curling irons) don't last long. But give yourself a wet set like this and your curls will last until the next time you shampoo.

yes. for every action there is a reaction. the reaction in your case is the falling hair and the action is some deficiency in your body. i suggest aside from taking vitamin e, change your shampoo and conditioner or better don't use any instead shampoo your hair with coconut water. wash your hair thoroughly with water and dry it naturally. wipe with a clean towel then oil your hair thoroughly but not lavishly with 40% grapeseed oil, 30% vegetable oil and 30% of olive oil

I had thick and strong hair.but now they are falling at a rapid rate.is there any particular reason?

Side effect of a medication, perhaps.

I had thick and strong hair.but now they are falling at a rapid rate.is there any particular reason?

Do you eat healthy? that's one reason that people can lose hair or too much stress.

I have thick and coarse hair. And its straight but also kinda wavy. And always seems to be frizzy...

Do you guys know any good anti-frizz styling products or something to get rid of the frizz?

I have thick and coarse hair. And its straight but also kinda wavy. And always seems to be frizzy...?

depending on your budget, there are a variety of different products. just because you buy the more expensive one doesnt mean that you will have better results. try your favorite brand but try the straight/anti frizz/sleek line. most brands have a line that is targeted for a sleeker, straighter, look. some of my faves are sexysilkyhair line by sexyhair concepts, john fredia frizz ease line, silker line by KMS, frederic fekkai glossing line, sleek look by matrix, panteen also has a good line. hth

I have thick and coarse hair. And its straight but also kinda wavy. And always seems to be frizzy...?

i always use lee stafford products theyre pretty good

I have thick and coarse hair. And its straight but also kinda wavy. And always seems to be frizzy...?

depending on the color of your hair, use pantene color expressions! its for natural and dyed hair.

It makes my hair SUPPERRR soft and relaxed.

my hairs straight in the front and wavy in the back

this might help you!!

i half blow dry it, and then let it air dry.

then i use the nice CHI straightner:)

try it!

good luck!

I have thick and coarse hair. And its straight but also kinda wavy. And always seems to be frizzy...?

Garnier products are good.

I have thick and coarse hair. And its straight but also kinda wavy. And always seems to be frizzy...?

KENRA hair products works miracles! i use them! U should use Bain De Terre shampoo and conditioner (they hydrate ur hair) and then use kenra styling products. they work!!!!!!!

I have thick and coarse hair. And its straight but also kinda wavy. And always seems to be frizzy...?

Yes, I have thick course hair this is what I do. Do not use shampoo take a big handful of conditioner like a teacup full and rub it into your scalp and hair. Really rub hard as you are cleaning your hair with the conditioner. Rinse off. It will be softer with no frizz. It is the shampoo the detergent that is making things worse for you. As soon as you go back to shampoo it will frizz up again you have to use only conditioner any one will do.

I have thick and coarse hair. And its straight but also kinda wavy. And always seems to be frizzy...?

Luster's Pink Lotion is a good one! And also Luster's Pink Gloss Spray. Those work for me! Just apply and brush though.

Hope this helped!

I have thick and coarse hair. And its straight but also kinda wavy. And always seems to be frizzy...?

I like sunsilks thermasilk. It's in a purple spray bottle. Spray your hair after you've washed it and brush or comb through. I also bought a ceramic hair straightner that HAS DONE WONDERS. My hair looks like supermodel hair lol. And it's not greasy looking

I have thick and coarse hair. And its straight but also kinda wavy. And always seems to be frizzy...?

There's tons of anti-frizz products on the market. ..I used to have REALLY frizzy hair, but over time I learned how to manage it very well! ...If I'm straightening it, when I take a shower, I use shampoo and conditioner. When I go to blow it dry, I always blow dry with the dryer facing downwards. Then, I apply my anti-frizz and heat protective serum and straighten it. Even in humidity it's been great! ...Also try to not brush your hair so much, because it will cause split ends and cause it to break. Also, tying it in a pony tail causes frizz.

You can also try washing your hair every other day as your natural oils helps control frizz.

I have thick and coarse hair. And its straight but also kinda wavy. And always seems to be frizzy...?

how about herbel essences anti-frizz shaampoo and conditioner... its in a red bottle you can find it most anywhere

Which hair straightners are best (Remington or Babyliss?) Thin or thick?

Hi, I'm from the UK and want some hair straighteners. I have heard so much debate about which ones are the best, and am not sure! I have researched which ones I like, and they are made by Remington or Babyliss. There are also ones made by Philips for Tresseme which look good. Many people say that GHD are the best, but I can't afford them and my mum was shocked at the price so I don't think i'll be able to get any for Christmas either.

Can people who have the Babyliss Pro 230 Elegance (the gold one), Babyliss 2085U Pro OR any of the Remington Professional ones like (Straight in a stroke or Damage Defence (S9000) or Protect and Shine Pro Slim 230 Ceramic (S2014), or Wet 2 Straight thin or wide) tell me which of these is the best? Also I think it depends on my hairtype. I have about shoulder length thin hair but lots of it! I think for thin hair it is better to get the thin straighteners, but it will take longer. With thick ones it will be quicker? What does everyone think? Many Thanks!

Which hair straightners are best (Remington or Babyliss?) Thin or thick?

I haven't any experience of either of those brands, but I would recommend thin ones. I have similar hair to you, and find that they are a lot easier to control. I had thick ones before, but it was very difficult to manouvre them, especially around the back of the head. Because of this, I find thin ones a lot quicker. You can also use thin ones to put kinks and loose curls in your hair, with practise!

I have the Nicky Clarke tourmaline straighteners that are in argos for about 鎷?0, and have been very impressed with them, they work very well for the price. If you really want the GHD's though, why not see if you can get them as an early christmas present.

Which hair straightners are best (Remington or Babyliss?) Thin or thick?

Remington are the best by far, Babyliss break all the time and they are not as hot when heated!

Which hair straightners are best (Remington or Babyliss?) Thin or thick?

The best hair straightner i think is the ghd. Deffinitly worth the price. My first straightner was a Remington and lasted about 8months before my hair just started kinking instead of straightening and it just wouldnt last and would take my long thick hair 1hr and 30mins instead of 1hr that it usually would have taken. So I decided to splurge out and buy a ghd. I'll tell you that its the best thing i invested in. My hair will go straight almost straightaway, frizzy hair and fly aways are gone and it will last without going kinky. Also it cut my straightening time down from 1hr to 45mins. So deffinitly worth it. Maybe you could suggest going halfs with the price of it with your mum?! its deffinitly worth it. the Wet 2 Straight one is bad because using a heat around 180 degrees plus is TERRIBLE for your hair. I've heard that Babyliss are pretty good as well.

Which hair straightners are best (Remington or Babyliss?) Thin or thick?

get remington its the best i have it !

Which hair straightners are best (Remington or Babyliss?) Thin or thick?

Remington (Slim) every time. I have had Babyliss before, did not rate them.

Which hair straightners are best (Remington or Babyliss?) Thin or thick?

I have recently bought Babyliss Freedom straighteners for 鎷?2 from Littlewoods catalogue (they were on offer but were 鎷?2 originally). They heat up to 230 degrees, have a really long lead and a base so that you can move around if your socket is a long way from your mirror. I'm getting along really well with them. I had Remington before but they were a few years old so didn't get up to the heat that most do now. Couldn't really fault them except for the heat.

Which hair straightners are best (Remington or Babyliss?) Thin or thick?

Like the questioner I am buying straighteners. I think I am going to buy the Remington Pro Slim Ceramic 230 (S2014) unless anyone can tell me different. I think that the tin ones must be easier to use!!

The best hair shampoo 4 thick, frizzy, curly hair?

best tips you can get are the thicker the conditioner, the more it will weigh your hair down, and rinse with cold water to close the cuticle and add shine. remember hot water opens, and cold water closes. the best products that i can recommend for you is the conditionin balm by biolage (you really only need theconditioner}, and the all soft by redken, (both the shampoo and the conditioner) you can buy these at your local salon. you will love them. the cold water should help with the frizz but i recommend the camera ready by tigi, and the curls rock amplifier by tigi this product will help with the curls and give it soft manageable curls. if you buy these at a salon and dont like them you can return them for a full refund after a week, but the secret to great hair are the products. they cost a little money but save your hair in the longrun!

Buy a bottle of cheap, plain olive oil; apply it to DRY hair; cover with some clingfilm then a warm towel on top, leave for 30 - 60mins then wash hair thoroughly with usual shampoo. Try this once a week as a deep conditioner and it should help with the frizzies. Let me know if it works.

Have you ever thought of putting your hair in braids? That might give you a look that you'll like, with or without extensions, depending on your preference. There are so many different styles.

Also, depending on where you live (or how close you are to a metropolitan area) you may want to check out a hair dresser that works with natural African American hair. That way, he/she can try out different styles on you.

All the best.

I have thick, brushed back, hair any thoughts on hair styles?

I've been spiking it since last year.

I have thick, brushed back, hair any thoughts on hair styles?

Brushed back hair = ick

Spikes = Hot

Just keep it short and spike it a little bit. The best way to do it is just get some hair wax, start from the back (after warming it and softening it in your hands) and just kind of brush it in working towards the front of your head... it kind of gives you more natural looking sexy spikes. Very in right now.

I have thick, brushed back, hair any thoughts on hair styles?

very good ...keep on..keep on...

I have thick, brushed back, hair any thoughts on hair styles?

you can try to thin it out by going to a hair person, or u can cut some but not all 2 make it les bushy looking. there r also some shampoos that will de-poofy your hair

I have thick, brushed back, hair any thoughts on hair styles?

I have the same problem but I try to keep it as short as possible and spike it up like yours. I think, that's the only best way for thick hair coz it looks weird in long and kind of shabby. I use mild liquid hair gel though, it keeps my hair little soft and not so dried hard. I think you should keep the same way I do coz I get lot compliments from my frens on it.

i like both, it really just depends on your face shape and facial features

Guys, do you prefer women with thick, wavy, long hair or long thin straight hair?

Long thin straight hair. But it is not a hard and fast rule.

Guys, do you prefer women with thick, wavy, long hair or long thin straight hair?

either one will do

How do you get thick, fluffy frizzy hair by doing it yourself at home???

If your hair is super straight, I suggest flipping your hair over and using the blowdryer on it. Blow-dry all over...especially under the ends of your hair, so that it blows your hair all around, occasionally using your hairspray to keep that cool "wild" look in place. When you flip your hair back over, it should be fuller. If not, then I'm stupid and should not be giving advice. I hope I'm right.

How do you get thick, fluffy frizzy hair by doing it yourself at home???

I just wake up.

I have thick, dark, long hair on my arms...what do i do?

I don't want to wax it or shave it and the bleaching will only make it a different color, not make it thinner. I just want to thin it out...or something...? idk...?

it's just gross...sooo help please!

I have thick, dark, long hair on my arms...what do i do?

Why would you pick the only answer on here that would make you feel worse about it to be the best answer? Report It

I have thick, dark, long hair on my arms...what do i do?

Look up a device called the No! No! Hair Removal system, it will explain what it's all about. Recent reviews say it's quite promising, so please, if there's one answer here to pay attention, pay attention this one.

No offense, everyone else...

I have thick, dark, long hair on my arms...what do i do?

you are gonna have too go to the hairdresses they thin hair out and get them to dye it

I have thick, dark, long hair on my arms...what do i do?

Have you tried laser? you should laser it off. That is the only thing I can think of. It will cost you a pretty penny but you wont have to worry about it any more. F.Y.I I have hairy arms too and no men complain, honestly I think it's sexy. Now your back... just wax it. The more you wax the less hair will be and it wont be as noticeable.

I have thick, dark, long hair on my arms...what do i do?

I've had the same problem with hair on my arms for many years; then I bought an epilator (hair removal system.) It is almost in the same shape of a lady's shaver, but instead of shaving the hair off, it pulls it off. You could actually see the root of the hair after it's pulled off. It will still grow back, but not as fast and not as thick. It will hurt the first couple times since your skin has to adjust to it, but after a while, it will be less uncomfortable. It's been over ten years or more that I've been using this and it has been a godsend to me.

There are a couple of these systems on the market, but actually hard to find. The one I am now using is called "Emjoi Gently Gold Caress" Hair Removal System with New Pain Reduction Technology.

Hope this helps with your problem. Good luck!

Thick frizzy wavy hair?

well thats wht it is...and ive gotten suggestions about mayonaise OR olive oil.....which works better??

Thick frizzy wavy hair?

- Go wavy! Read the book and visit the sites below about curly/wavy hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your wavy hair- be happy for life!

-Use a shampoo low in sulfates or one that contains none at all such as Devacurl's low poo. Some health food store have organic shampoos with no sulfates also. Sulfates dry out wavy/curly hair- it can be found in laundry detergent!!

- Use a small amount of shampoo (every couple days) on scalp as normal and rinse. Then spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse with cold/cool water.

- Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it wil disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair with your fingers. Use a towel or paper towels to gently scrunch some of the water out. Then let your hair air dry or wait ten minutes and then use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Do not touch the hair while it is air drying or it will frizz!

- Experiment with different products because everyone's hair is different. I would reccomend a light hold gel and a leave in cream or condtioner. Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Desert Essence Organics Italian Red Grape Conditioner (found at health food/organic stores). The combo of products that I use daily is Garnier Fuctis Sleek and Shine Leave In Cream and Aussie Tizz No Frizz Gel, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes a weeks or two to begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally wavy hair can be beautiful! Hope this helps!

I have the same hair, and mayo will work better, but if you don't use that, and you use olive oil, put it only on your ends.

Thick frizzy wavy hair?

don't even bother...you'll just make a mess and be stuck with super greasy hair. buy a flat iron or get your hair rebonded for a more pemanent solution

Thick frizzy wavy hair?

I have thick frizzy hair (not really wavy) and I use John Freida's "Frizz-Ease" serum. I think it works really well %26amp; I've been using it for a couple yrs now. it's enough to do the trick, but doesn't make my hair greasy or dirty-looking.

Pantene has a similar serum that's a bit cheaper, but I find it doesn't work quite as well as John Freida's product.

hope I could help ya' out!

isn't frizz a *****!?? ;)

Thick frizzy wavy hair?

try using a shampoo and conditioner to make it less frizzy

Thick and tangeled hair. I'm male?

what would i use to make my have smooth? 10 min after i shower it is very tangled already and it hard to brush or comb it. what would i use or do to make it thinner and shinny.

Thick and tangeled hair. I'm male?

Try HIS MIX system. You shampoo and leave-in a conditioner when hair is wet and air dry. Mixed Chicks (http:www.mixedchicks.net) makes it.

Hair problem!! i used to have a thick, full head of hair up until about a year ago. my sister deep c

all the hairs on my head arent conformed anymore and are growing in all different directions! whenever i get a haircut it never gets even because now hairs laydown on my scalp and I dont realize it until i shower and rinse all my hair out after the haircut. so i have hairs that pop up and are longer than the rest of my hair. also the hairs on my side arent the same either. even after a haircut most of the hairs stick out and some are curly and some just stick straight out and some lay flat, which is how they are supposed to be. my hair almost looks like straw growing in all different directions and lengths. i even cut my hair really really short to try and fix it but they grew back in different directions again. also my hair is always dry and brittle! can i fix this? if so how? short of shaving my head. thanks.

Stop cutting your hair so short! Leave it alone for a little while. Don't get it cut with thinning scissors and stop washing your hair everyday! Try washing it every three days and see how that goes.

When i brush my hair all the pretty curls come out and my hair is too thick to use a comb!?

whenever i use my brush in the morning my hair is frizzy and has some nice curls. i know i have to brush my hair , but when i do all the curls come out and then my whole head is a big ball of frizz. HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!

When i brush my hair all the pretty curls come out and my hair is too thick to use a comb!?

Use your fingers through your hair instead of a brush when it is dry. I sometimes add some water when I do that to help with the frizzz. Also, get some hair shine to help with the friz... try different kinds out to see which one you like.

When i brush my hair all the pretty curls come out and my hair is too thick to use a comb!?

Same problem here. When you shower don't use shampoo as often and only use conditioner. While you have it in your hair use your fingers as a brush, and don't use brushes anymore.

When i brush my hair all the pretty curls come out and my hair is too thick to use a comb!?

Use a large pick comb with just a touch of moisture to keep static down.

When i brush my hair all the pretty curls come out and my hair is too thick to use a comb!?

COMB IT WHILE IT IS WET!

USE THE FINGERCOMBING METHOD

When i brush my hair all the pretty curls come out and my hair is too thick to use a comb!?

What I do. My hair is not curly but it does get frizzy and tangles easy. Anyway what I do is wash then condition with lots of conditioner. When I rinse my hair I turn my head upside down and rinse like that in the shower. I make that the last thing I do. I squeeze the water out still upside down then wrap it in a towel and throw it over my head for a bit. When I take my towel off. I keep my head upside down and use a pick and blow dry upside down with no no no no brushing at all. Just a pick..

Good Luck

You may get a leave in conditioner. You can get them in a spray bottle that helps frizzing...

When i brush my hair all the pretty curls come out and my hair is too thick to use a comb!?

In my experiance as a hairstylist, I usually recommend that people with overtly curly hair wet it in the morning and use a serum to control frizz or flyaways. Then leave it alone. Let it dry, and be done with it. You don't have to wash your hair everyday, just wet it and set it. Shampoo every other day, or every third day(depending on your scalp). Wetting it in the a.m. doesn't take a whole lot of time to freshen up the curl for the day, but DO put SOMETHING in it to set the curl. Then LEAVE IT ALONE. Brushing it causes it to look frizzy.

If it is TOO curly for you, look into having someone restructure your curl with a perm! Sounds crazy, but nappy curls can be relaxed with a perm using a larger rod than your natural curl pattern!

When i brush my hair all the pretty curls come out and my hair is too thick to use a comb!?

Try showering in the morning. Brush your hair before you take a shower and IN the shower after you wash your hair.

When i brush my hair all the pretty curls come out and my hair is too thick to use a comb!?

i suggest you go to your local hairdresser and ask for a cream or shampoo that will first stop the frizz. then you could ask them how to keep the curls in. you could use fructis anti frizz serum and use it with one of the new sunsilk hair shampoo and conditioners. also i suggest you use an afro comb. works really good, so your hair still looks brushed but it will keep in the curls.

When i brush my hair all the pretty curls come out and my hair is too thick to use a comb!?

After you brush your hair, mist it w/water then use mousse and or gels w/ a little of biosilk or something like it and scrunch your hair. let it dry nat. DO NOT touch it after that.

use any type of hair silicone-eg. semi di lino shine gloss or Biosilk silk therapy, then detangle with fingers

When i brush my hair all the pretty curls come out and my hair is too thick to use a comb!?

i honestly only brush my hair before i get in the shower (which is at night). the outside world hasn't seen my hair brushed in years. what i do is after i shower at night, i tie my hair up, then go to bed and take it out in the morning, and i use my fingers to adjust it. then it isn't tangled because it was tied in one place all night, but it isnt flattened out and frizzy because of brushing it.

When i brush my hair all the pretty curls come out and my hair is too thick to use a comb!?

Though there are many causes of of frizz, it occurs when the hair's cuticle (it's outermost level) becomes "roughed up". Normally, the hair's cuticle is smooth. A smooth cuticle will appear shiny and leave hair tangle-free. When the cuticle layers are roughed up, the strand becomes dull, prone to tangles, and creates the dreaded condition known as frizz.

Frizz can be prevented simply by using the proper shampoos and conditioners. Most hair problems can be remedied by switching to the right products. Shampoos work by opening up the cuticle layers, releasing dirt and residue caused by pollution, and build-up caused by styling products. For the cuticle to be opened, a product must have a basic pH (by basic, I'm referring to the opposite of acidic. If it's not an acid, it's a base. You remember that from science class, don't you? Of course you do...). Conditioners work by re-sealing the cuticle, and should have an acidic pH. Many store-bought products have a pH that is too harsh for many hair types. If you must use store-bought, look for shampoos that claim to be "hydrating", these products will help hair maintain a healthy moisture balance. Try to avoid over-shampooing, as this will contribute to making hair dry and over-stressed. By shampooing every other day, and using a good, professional conditioner as needed, you'll be on your way to shiny, healthy, beautiful hair.

Humidity is also prone to make hair do strange things. Your hair is very sensitive to moisture. You may have noticed how youre hair appears frizzy on humid days. This is because your hair (which is dry and in need of moisture), becomes "thirsty", and it will try to absorb the water molecules in the air.

Another way to avoid frizzy hair is to let your hair air-dry as much as possible. Heat damage is a major cause of frizz. Never, ever, blow the hair completely dry, and when it comees to choosing a blow dryer, more power does not equal better results. 1600 watts is plenty! In the salon, we use the blow-dryer to remove about 90% of the moisture, leaving the ends (which are sensitive) slightly damp. On hair that is likely to frizz, I recommend using a large-barrel curling iron or straightening iron to smooth out the hair. By smoothing hair that is slightly damp with a large iron, it becomes similar to the way an iron removes wrinkles from clothing.

Whether you air dry, blow-dry, or curl your hair, the benefits of using a smoothing serum can never be overstated. There are many products out there to smooth frizz, and they come in many forms, such as liquids, gels, waxes, pomades, and creams. Smoothing serums, which look like clear, syrupy drops, usually contain silicone, which smoothes the cuticle and gives tremendous shine. The downside is that using too much product at a time can make hair look and feel greasy. A few drops will be enough for even the longest, thickest hair. I prefer products in a gel form, since most people have a good idea on how much product to use. My favorite is a product by Graham Webb called Stick Straight. It was developed to temporarily remove curl from the hair, but I find it works wonders on long straight hair, men's hair, and ethnic hair types. I apply a small amount to damp hair, then blow it dry. After curling, I emulsify a small amount of dressing wax by vigorously rubbing it in the palm of my hands. Then i smooth down any fly-aways or frizz. Instead of wax, you can use a grooming cream or liquid smoothing serum. My preference for a wax is a pomade called Hair Play by KMS. Another good wax is Back-to-Basic's Green Tea Dressing Wax. For those of you who prefer drops, try Glass by Redken. By smoothing the hair in the fashion I have just described, you can attain that stick straight sleek look, as worn by celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston, Selma Hayek, and Cher.

For those people blessed with curls, apply a frizz-control gel evenly through damp hair and leave air-dry or blow-dry with a diffuser attachment. A good gel to use is Control Freak by TIGI. It also has a great smell to it, as most of their products do.

Keep in mind that hair should be trimmed every six to eight weeks to remove dead ends. While split ends, technically known as trichoptilosis, differ from frizz, they can also make otherwise nice hair appear fuzzy, dull, and lifeless.

Thick coarse facial hair on women.....?

I need help.

How to get rid of this?

I have tried waxing,plucking....

It's on my chin...

Help

Thick coarse facial hair on women.....?

Depending on your skin tone you could try laser hair removal, although it's a bit spendy. Or electrolysis, though make sure you find someone who does this who has been through good schooling, as electrolysis can cause scarring.

The hair removers (creams, waxing, plucking) are all only temporary solutions, though waxing and plucking remove the hair from the root and can help weaken them for future growth. Whatever you do, don't shave them, it'll just make things worse ~ TRUST ME, you'll regret it!

You also may want to have your horomones checked ~ excess facial hair in women can be a sign of elevated testosterone levels, which can lead to other health issues in females ~ I know, I've been there ~

Thick coarse facial hair on women.....?

klkl

Thick coarse facial hair on women.....?

umm try using facial hair removal cream...it might be more soothing. xxx

Just shave it off whenever it grows back. ._.

I have VERY FRIZZY thick dirty blonde hair and...?

well i would use frizz ezze it is the best thing they even hav steps like different products to use with stepnumbers on it. if u didnt hav frizzy hair and it was curlythen you should uuse the curly kind and if thats not the case then use the straight kind thats wat happend 2 my sister and it really worked

I have VERY FRIZZY thick dirty blonde hair and...?

omgod!

I HAD HAIR LIKE THAT %26amp; I WAS SOOOOOOOOOOO FUSTRATED!

i spent over 5O.OO buying shampoo products no lie

%26amp; none of them work

BUY THERMASILK!

it forreals work

like at first, after i showered, my hair it turns frizzy again

but go to sleep %26amp; the next day, it's PERFECTLY straight!

but if you have bangs like me, i straighten them or blowdry it.

%26amp;trust me! it REALLY works

I have really really thick and curly hair i need a cheap but good straightener that will work good?

i have really thick adn curly hair too

not to mention frizzy lol

i have tried a conair one inch thick iron thing it worked pretty good ..about 40 $

it didnt last for long though

and i had went throgh about 3 straighteners that didnt work long

so i went to the big times

i got me a nice straightener that cost about 110$

ive had it for about 7 months

the longest ive ever had one

and it works great

I have really really thick and curly hair i need a cheap but good straightener that will work good?

If you say your hair is thick AND curly there is really no such thing of a good AND cheap straightener...if I were you I would invest in a CHI or something in that price range (~$100-150) because a cheap one will not 1) last long (at all) and 2) not effectively straighten your hair. Hope this helps...but really...my friend has the same type of hair and she has been through sooo many straighteners because she tried to bargain shop...it's not worth it. Spend the money to get a quality one that will work amazing and will last. AND...a lot of the "decent" cheaper ones can actually ruin your hair. My hairdresser told me the white ceramic straighteners are the best!!

I have really really thick and curly hair i need a cheap but good straightener that will work good?

you really will get what you pay for with straighteners and needless to say the more expensive ones get hotter, straighten your hair quicker and more effectively and are more protective to your hair. cheaper ones which are not as hot will require you to keep going over and over the same section of hair to get it straight and this will cause lots of damage.

if you still insist on getting cheaper straighteners then, for the sake of your hair, get ceramic ones as they won't stick to your hair and damage it as much as metal ones.

and finally if you have thick, curly hair then embrace it. i have fine, very straight hair but lots of it and I have to spend hours in front of the mirror for the bouncy waves and curls all over the magazines at the moment. big bouncy hair is so 'IN' at the moment and a cut from a good stylist will help to bring out the best in your hair.

I certainly don't think your hair looks bad from the pictures, and I looked at every one of them. What kind of hair do your parents and siblings have? It appears you just have very curly hair and that you need to make sure that your hair stylist is very good so that she or he cuts it evenly and gives you the style you want. Curly hair is harder to cut than straight hair. Maybe you need to go to a new hair salon and have a consult with a stylist and get some ideas from someone who is very qualified to do so, ask the receptionist or manager is a certain stylist specializes in difficult or very curly hair. Good luck and God Bless.

Hair problem!! i used to have a thick, full head of hair up until about a year ago until my sister deep?

hmm, my opinion would be to cut it until it's completely even, it will probably be a bit short however..

sorry i couldn't help more!

My friend and i (13) want to shave our legs- we are blond but the hair is thick-we haven't aske

We know our moms will say no. They both don't understand that things happen earlier compared to when they were young. my friend and i go to different schools but we both have noticed that people look down to us for not shaving and that even nerdie people shave there legs

im blond and i started shaving when i was 13..so did the other girls in school..its normal for 13yr olds to shave..why embarass yourself with hairy legs...my friends 13 yr old daughters shave too...from a mom..

Don't worry about it.

shave them retards

My friend and i (13) want to shave our legs- we are blond but the hair is thick-we haven't asked moms yet.

I think that you should talk to them. Did you both talk to your moms together about this? Does your moms know that others shave their legs too? I suggest that if you do it without your parents permission you should wear long pants. But you probably shouldn't do that anyways because sooner or later they're going to find out. I think that you and your friend shouldn't care if your other friends won't like you because of this. If they're your friends they shouldn't care about whether your legs are shave or not.

My friend and i (13) want to shave our legs- we are blond but the hair is thick-we haven't asked moms yet.

My friend and i (13) want to shave our legs- we are blond but the hair is thick-we haven't asked moms yet.

13 is a perfectly good age to start shaving your legs. I would say under 10 or 11 is too soon, but 13? Your moms must be crazy.

My friend and i (13) want to shave our legs- we are blond but the hair is thick-we haven't asked moms yet.

Well, I wanted to shave my legs. My mom said no, she didnt want me to cut myself. I uased "Nair" and she did'nt mind. But one day I told her "I dont hurt myself shaving. I dont get cuts, it really easy not to get hurt" and so she lets me shave. Or use "Nair" (Hair removal creme.)

Go to the salon and ask them to thin it out for you. Or you could buy your own thinning shears at the store and try to do it yourself. My mom does it herself and she said it's easy.
