no that would just plain stupid get it permently straightened at a salon it may seem girly but it would look great and it will take all of the frizz away

I highly doubt it, but if you want to prevent just straighten it, then cut it, that worked for my brothers friend.

Try it and see. If you have the right kind of hair, you can grow an elegant Afro. Color doesn't always predict hair type - a friend is black, but has (naturally) blond hair and green eyes. A very striking combination!
